Carl Pott
Carl Pott (1906–1985) transformed his father’s workshop into a hub of innovative craftsmanship. Under his leadership, cutlery was created that excelled in both ergonomics and precision. His concept of “spoonery” emphasized perfection in balance and usability, with spoons crafted in over 30 steps and knives made from molybdenum-vanadium steel with quartz-sand handles for optimal balance. In addition to his own designs, Pott brought to life works by modernists like Hermann Gretsch and Josef Hoffmann, leaving a lasting mark on design history.
