Shin Azumi was born in Kobe in 1965. He graduated from the Kyoto City University of Arts in 1989. In 1994, he completed his master’s degree at the Royal College of Art. Since 1995, he has been active for 10 years as the design unit “AZUMI.” In 2005, he established his own design office and studio, collaborating with international companies, primarily in the design of products and furniture. He has received awards and his works are part of many museum collections. Shin Azumi is also a professor at Hosei University and a visiting professor at Kobe Design University.
