Michel Boucquillon, born in Belgium, graduated as an architect in Brussels in 1986. In 2000, he opened a second office in Tuscany. He is married to Donia Maaoui, a Tunisian architect, sculptor, and painter, with whom he collaborates on various projects. He has realized Casa Boucquillon as the first house with a fully opening roof. One of his recurring themes is the pattern of the plane tree.
