Nika Zupanc graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana in 2000. Her graduation work was awarded the Presernova Prize in 2001 for outstanding achievements in industrial design. After completing her studies, she started working as an independent designer. In 2004, the British Council selected her as a talented young professional in the project "Rising Stars of New Europe." Between 2005 and 2007, she exhibited widely with playful and avant-garde work. Her designs, including the Lolita lamp and the Knitty Chair, can be found among the offerings of Moooi.
