Alessi Trumpet Vase Brass Big is crafted like a real trumpet and symbolizes the new series Il Tornitore Matto, referencing Alice in Wonderland. Plenty of imagination is involved, based on the old “turning” technique of steel sheet. Alberto Alessi wanted to allow both old and new designers to utilize the method his grandfather used to work with steel. The Trumpet Vase is entirely made of brass and also comes in a variant with a narrower spout. Both models are available in a silver-plated version.

Michael Anastassiades grew up in Cyprus and moved to London to study engineering and design. He opened his studio there in 1994. His designs encompass industrial products, craft objects, and experiments that he conducts himself, drawing inspiration from art and other creative fields. The execution is guided by poetically interpreted technology, materials, and functions. Anastassiades has received numerous awards, and his work can be found in the permanent collections of major international museums such as the MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Alessi Trumpet Vase Brass Big is part of the new collection Il Tornitore Matto, the crazy turner, based on old steelworking techniques. The designer was fascinated by the reflections that give a twist to the reflected images. The vase comes in two models and also a silver-plated version. All pieces have a unique production number.
