Alessi Trumpet Vaas zilver is gemaakt zoals een echte trompet en staat symbool voor de nieuwe serie Il Tornitore Matto, waarin een verwijzing wordt gemaakt naar Alice in Wonderland. Volop fantasie dus op basis van oude “draai” techniek van stalen plaat. Alberto Alessi wilde oude en nieuwe ontwerpers weer eens gebruik laten maken van de wijze waarop zijn grootvader al staal bewerkte. Deze versie van de Trompetvaas is verzilverd. Ook hier is een variant met een bredere uitloop. Beide modellen zijn ook in massief messing ( legering van koper en zink).
Ontwerper: Michael Anastassiades
Michael Anastassiades grew up in Cyprus and moved to London to study engineering and design. He opened his studio there in 1994. His designs encompass industrial products, craft objects, and experiments that he conducts himself, drawing inspiration from art and other creative fields. The execution is guided by poetically interpreted technology, materials, and functions. Anastassiades has received numerous awards, and his work can be found in the permanent collections of major international museums such as the MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Alessi Trumpet Vase Silver is part of the new collection Il Tornitore Matto, the crazy turner, based on ancient steelworking techniques. The designer was fascinated by the reflections that add a twist to the reflected images. The vase comes in two models and also a pure copper version (brass). All pieces have a unique production number.
