Humberto Campana, a lawyer, and Fernando Campana, an architect, have been collaborating in São Paulo since 1983 in the field of artistic design. They gained attention in 1989 at the furniture fair with the provocative exhibition titled "Gli inconfortabili" (The Uncomfortables), more of a political manifesto than functional objects. Their radical stance is reinforced by the use of natural materials and industrial by-products.
