Coat Hook On-Demand maakt deel uit van de Bracket-Bar-70, een minimalistische kapstok van dezelfde ontwerper. De haak is gemaakt van geprinte houtvezels met een licht zanderige textuur, wat zorgt voor goede grip. De Coat Hook is ontworpen voor kleding en kan ook toegepast worden bij andere kapstokken. Het idee achter deze “printed on demand”-producten is om alleen te produceren wat nodig is. Ondanks de kleinere oplages blijven de prijzen toegankelijk.
Ontwerper: Monika Mulder
Monika Mulder is a Dutch designer who grew up in the north of the Netherlands and studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven. During her internship at IKEA's design department in Sweden, she discovered her fascination for combining functionality and playfulness—a collaboration that would lead to some of IKEA's most recognizable products. Mulder focuses on designs that bring grace and beauty to everyday objects, with a creative approach to production techniques and use of materials. Since 2007, she has been working from her studio in a former sugar factory in Gothenburg on projects for IKEA, Pholc, Materia, and others. For IKEA, she designed the famous PS Guskäkt watering can, known for its graceful, flowing shape, and the Bästis wall hook in the shape of a dog's rear end – a humorous detail that became popular worldwide.

Coat Hook On-Demand is part of the Bracket-Bar-70, a minimalist coat rack by the same designer. Made from printed wood fibres, it has a subtly sandy texture that provides a firm grip. The Coat Hook is designed for clothing but can also be combined with other racks. The idea behind these printed on demand pieces is to produce only what’s needed — keeping production efficient and prices appealing.
