Massimiliano Fuksas was born in Rome in 1944, where he studied architecture at La Sapienza University. In 1967, he established a practice in Rome, followed by offices in Paris in 1989 and Vienna in 1993. Currently residing and working in Rome and Paris, he co-manages the firm with his wife, Doriane, who graduated from the University of Rome in 1979 with a degree in History of Modern and Contemporary Architecture. In Eindhoven, they were responsible for the design of the Piazza and the iconic structure known as the Blob.
