Houten Ruijgrok-Krat
Discription
Ontwerper: Nob Ruijgrok
Nob Ruijgrok, a graduate of the Design Academy, co-founded the manufacturing company Eek en Ruijgrok in 1993 with Piet Hein Eek. Over 23 years, the company grew to nearly a hundred employees. In 2015, Ruijgrok parted ways with Piet Hein Eek and focused more on his own productions closely tied to the manufacturing process—returning to the basics. He established a workshop at Sectie C in Eindhoven where, alongside space for his own work, he provided his well-equipped workshop for others and offered support in realizing ideas.
Nob passed away in 2022, but he left a lasting impact by promoting the appreciation for (re)using materials, especially wood, in modern interior design.
