Mono-A Gravy Spoon

Discription

Peter Raacke created this minimalist design at the behest of Herbert Seibel in the late 1950s. The goal was to develop cutlery with a timeless design that could be produced easily and sustainably. After its market introduction in 1959, designer Raacke and manufacturer Seibel had to realize that the design was too progressive; its radical simplicity did not meet the tastes of dealers and customers. In 1973, just fourteen years later, the Mono A won its first major design award, the Bundespreis für gute Form. Today it is considered an absolute design classic and has won dozens of awards.
Mono A is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The blade is made of a hardened blade steel that ensures a long cutting life. All parts are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
The Mono A knife is available in two versions. The short blade is Peter Raacke’s original knife design. The long blade was added later as an alternative. Both versions are equally functional. All parts have a silk matt brushed finish.
