Mono Petit Kids Cutlery & Board

Discription

Peter Raacke created his minimalist design on behalf of Herbert Seibel in the late 1950s. The goal was to develop cutlery with a timeless design that could be produced easily and sustainably. After its market introduction in 1959, designer Raacke and manufacturer Seibel had to realize that the design was too progressive; its radical simplicity did not meet the tastes of dealers and customers. In 1973, just fourteen years later, the Mono A won its first major design award, the Bundespreis für gute Form. Today it is considered an absolute design classic and has won dozens of awards.
Mono A is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The blade is made of a hardened blade steel that ensures a long cutting life. All parts are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. All parts have a silk matt brushed finish.

Ontwerper: Peter Raacke

Peter Raacke currently resides in Berlin.

Information

Mono Petit Kids Cutlery & Board brings big design to little people. The same year that Mono A was launched, Mono Petit, a flatware set for children, was also introduced. The size and shapes are tailored for children, while maintaining the timeless beauty and durability of its ‘big brother,’ Mono A. Small stamped animal motifs at the end of the handles and a complementary fish-shaped wooden cutting board add a touch of playful charm.

Mono Petit is made from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel. The knife features a serrated edge, and all parts are dishwasher safe.
